The late, beloved Dr. Arnella E. Lewis was the "safe haven" who changed the course of a life. As a spiritual mother to our Founder, Lakeisha Walker, Dr. Lewis provided a nonjudgmental sanctuary during Lakeisha’s darkest years enduring human trafficking.
By guiding Lakeisha through the "renewing of her mind," Dr. Lewis transformed trauma into a foundation of healing. Her profound spiritual insight and unconditional love became the DNA of Honorable Women Inc. (est. 2020). Although she has passed, her love, strength, and tenacity lives on through our mission.
Honorable Women Inc. is a survivor-led community of women from all walks of life who are united by a passion for service, advocacy, and creating safer communities. What began as a commitment to help those impacted by human trafficking has grown into a movement of women dedicated to uplifting individuals, strengthening families, and bringing hope to communities facing adversity.
We believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Through outreach, education, public safety awareness, and community engagement, we work to ensure that vulnerable populations are informed, supported, and connected to opportunities for growth and healing. While women lead our mission, we proudly serve individuals of all genders and backgrounds.
Advocating for survivors and raising awareness
about human trafficking remains at the heart of our work. Guided by our motto, “Love Is Action,” inspired by Dr. Arnella E. Lewis, we believe that genuine care is demonstrated through service. Whether providing resources, supporting community initiatives, educating the public, or standing alongside those in need, we are committed to turning empathy into action.
Across Chicago, Honorable Women Inc. continues to build partnerships, invest in communities, and create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered. Together, we are fostering hope, promoting public safety, and helping individuals move from surviving to thriving.
Honorable Women is a Survivor Led Organization. Our Founder has a mighty voice, and, impeccable leadership. Honorable Women INC. is held in high esteem wherever we go.

Today you are helping support survivors.
Your generosity will help each survivor obtain the resources they need to maintain safety.
Unfortunately resources are not always available through agencies in Chicago. We are requesting communities to stand with us as we change societal norms. Funds will cover transportation, hotel stay, plane tickets,Bus tickets, emergency items, professional development , and food.
